What it is
Ganirelix (Ganirelix acetate) is a synthetic GnRH antagonist FDA-approved for prevention of premature LH surges in women undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation for assisted reproduction. It is structurally and functionally similar to cetrorelix.
Mechanism of action
Same as cetrorelix — direct GnRH receptor antagonism producing immediate suppression of LH/FSH release without initial flare.

Inhibition of premature LH surges in women undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation.
