N-Acetyl Selank Amidate

Stabilized Selank analog with longer duration.

What it is

N-Acetyl Selank Amidate (NA-Selank-Amidate) is a stabilized analog of Selank with N-acetylation at the N-terminus and amidation at the C-terminus. The structural modifications are intended to extend half-life and biological activity compared to standard Selank.

Mechanism of action

Same proposed mechanisms as standard Selank: GABAergic and serotonergic modulation, BDNF effects, anxiolytic activity without sedation. The structural modifications affect pharmacokinetics.

Clinical evidence

The clinical research base on NA-Selank-Amidate specifically is limited. Most evidence supporting use is extrapolated from research on standard Selank.

Why we don’t prescribe it at The Tide

Same reasoning as for NA-Semax-Amidate — we prescribe the version with established Russian clinical evidence (standard Selank) rather than the stabilized analog without specific clinical validation. If the stabilized version proves to provide meaningful clinical advantages in future research, we will reconsider. Current evidence supports the standard formulation.

Side effects and contraindications

Limited specific safety data. Likely similar to standard Selank. Avoided in pregnancy, breastfeeding, severe psychiatric conditions where appropriate care is indicated.
